​I am a strategic, creative thinker who understands the balance between creating outstanding, award winning design solutions and the importance of measuring and meeting clients goals and objectives.

​

For the past 35 years I have been a creative director focusing on publication design for Fortune 50 companies, B2B/B2C companies and associations. My work has garnered over 200 design awards.

-Conceptualized over 300 publication prototypes

-Managed the creative direction of a 16 person team of print, digital, infographic and video designers

-Provided brand over-site, direction and implementation across multiple platforms

-Defined, implements, tests and manages creative workflow   processes for maximum resource efficiency

-Located, hired and art directed photographers and illustrators

-Developed and managed art budgets

-Responsible for creative direction, execution and in person presentation for new business projects

-Responsible for all design team hiring and talent management

-Responsible for conceptualization and art direction of multiple media planning publications

-Oversaw the redesigns of 12 different monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly and annual media planning guidebooks

-Provided creative direction, management and production of a new digital media planning system

Inland Architect Magazine

Art Director

August 1989 – January 1994

-Responsible for conceptualization, layout, design and production on a bi-monthly, 80 page magazine

-Coordinated photo shoots, procured and/or created all imagery

-Developed and managed art budgets

-Managed ad production process and created ads for over 50 clients

-Managed prepress process and responsible for press checks

-Created supplemental marketing materials including annual fundraising calendars, direct mail campaigns and advertising

 

Hartmarx

Graphic Designer

July 1986 – August 1989

-Responsible for the design, layout and production of men’s and women’s clothing catalogs, in-store signage, direct mail  pieces, logo creation, branding and magazine and newspaper ads

-Managed the design and production of marketing materials for over 25 clothing brands
